Hi! I'm Cumberland and man am I special! I am a 7 month old chiweenie mix. I am white, with some light brown markings. I have sky blue eyes, one however is slightly cloudy due to a corneal ulcer that made me partially blind. Don't worry I make my way around just fine, and give my foster siblings a run for their money.
I've lived in a shelter, but acclimated to my fosters house and definitely run the place. I may be tiny but don't let that fool you, I play with the big dogs.
I'm soo sweet and love to cuddle. Belly rubs are my absolute favorite! I just want to love you and be loved in return. My goals in life are playing, getting your attention, eating, treats, and sleeping (oh man is it bedtime already)? I am not afraid to try new things at all. I just learned how to ride in the car and I love it! I'm still working on leash training (why is this thing following me!?) I follow my foster mom around everywhere if I'm not playing with my foster siblings. I also enjoy afternoon naps when I'm really tuckered out. I LOVE toys of all kinds and chasing my tail in the yard. I am instantly friendly with people, dogs, cats, and kiddos. I live with 2 cats who I'm gentle with, but desperately wish they would play with me.
I am 13 lbs and may get a little bigger but not much. Living in a home with another dog would be great as I am very playful, but it is not required as long as you have toys, time, and attention. I catch on very fast to routine and I'm also ok if it varies (sleeping in on weekends). I let you know if I need your time with a tiny gurgle howl that is super cute and makes everyone laugh. I currently live with my fosters Great Dane and a shepherd mixed puppy, a kiddo, and 2 older cats. I am fully potty trained, but need to be let out before bedtime, and not too many treats before sleepy time either. I sleep all night in my kennel, and then head out to potty before and after breakfast. I would really love a place to call my forever home. If you are looking for a loyal, energetic, and sweet addition to your home, I'm your blue eyed guy.
A few of the many great things about me:
- I am super sweet, and love to play, but will also stay quietly in my kennel when the foster family runs errands.
- I will be your shadow at first as I am a little timid in new surroundings, so I may follow you to the moon and back
- My crate is a safe place and I sleep quietly in it all night without a peep.
- I am good right away with other animals, love children and adults, and give lots of kisses. I get snuggly very quick
- I would love to live somewhere I can be active and have plenty of stimulation. I love running freely in the yard and playing with toys.
