Hi there! My name is Kaisa and I’m the cutest gray and white baby hippo (aka pitty mix) around! I am 2 years old and weigh in at about 40lbs.
I had a litter of puppies back in New Mexico before I moved here to Utah. Food wasn’t always available to me, and with having to feed so many puppies, I lost a lot of weight! My coat lost a bit of its shine as well, but now that I have been rescued I’m feeling much healthier! My coat and body are doing great and I’m ready to find my forever family <3

I am a very smart girl, and I want to please my people. I’ve been going to training classes and everyone is impressed with how attentive I am. At home, I have been learning how to walk next to my foster mom without pulling on the leash, and I’ve made so much progress! I am eager to please my humans, and am extremely food motivated, so I catch on to new training fast! 

Sometimes when I see something small and moving quickly, I really like to chase it! I’m learning not to do that, however it’s probably best if I’m in a home that doesn’t have other small animals like cats. My foster mom says I have something called a “high prey drive”… whatever that means.

I’m always happy to go on walks with you, but just FYI - I am just as happy to hang out at home! I am what some may call a “couch potato”. I looove to sleep, and when I’m awake I like to just hang out in a comfy spot. I do great in a crate, but I won’t destroy anything if you leave me out in a room either! I'm potty trained and will whine when I need to go out. I’m quite low energy & maintenance, however something I would LOVE is to be pet and snuggled! My dream day would quite literally be getting my belly rubbed on the couch for hours on end.

Sometimes I love them a little too much, and might guard them against other dogs. I have a hard time sharing my favorite people, and because of this, I would probably do best as the only dog in the house! I don’t really guard anything else, and have never been aggressive towards my humans. The training courses are partly to help me learn I don’t need to guard my people, and I am definitely improving! I need to keep going for a little while, it’s been very good for me. I’m learning so much, and I have so much fun when I’m there! I am looking for someone who would continue to take me to my training classes, so I can keep up all of the good skills I am learning! My current trainer even discounts training after adoption!

I am honestly the sweetest girl, who just wants to hang out and snuggle with my forever person/family. I've spent time with little kids and did great with them, too!
