Hello! My name is Tauntaun. I’m a three year old floof ball, which is the technical term for a great pyrenees mix.
I’m a fully grown 70lb girl, but my foster parents think I need to gain a little more weight to be healthy.
I am a very calm dog most of the time, although I do love to run around in the snow. I’m very curious about everything, which means that I’m still learning that some things are off limits. I would do really well with a family who focused on canine enrichment to help with my boredom. I love my crate and do really well being in it while the humans are gone to make sure I don’t get into anything. When the humans are home, all I really want to do is snuggle with them. I’m a big lover and a lap dog at heart. I would do great in a home where I could get plenty of attention in between naps. I’m very gentle and even though I haven’t been around kids, my foster parents think I’d do well with them.
I have excellent leash skills and absolutely love to go on walks with my foster siblings. I’m great with my two dog foster siblings and even my kitty foster sister. I don’t really notice she’s around most of the time, and I give her plenty of space just the way she likes it. The only thing I really don’t like is when other dogs get a little too close to my food. My foster parents are working with me to understand that I don’t have to be so protective of my food.
I’m fully house trained as long as I get regular potty breaks. I figured out the dog door really quick too! I’m new to all of the basic dog commands, so I’m still trying to learn them and would do well in a home where someone could continue that training.
