Hello, friends! My name is Kiva, but spelled like the Irish do it. (Caoimhe)
It looks a lot more exotic and important this way, don’t you agree? Like a royal name. Just call me Princess Caoimhe. Hahaha, just kidding.
I’m a fun, sweet girl who is looking for a family where I can be a happy, well-loved pup. I don’t need to be a princess!
I am 2 years old and weigh 44lbs. Perfect size for all the things!
I am listed as a husky mix…probably a whole lot of “mix” in there, although I do have some traditional husky behaviors! For instance, I like other dogs, I like to play, I am affectionate, and I am smart. I sound great, right?
I do tend to be shy when I first meet someone, but I come around quickly and then stick to you like glue!
I am a good girl – foster mom says I know how to behave better than lots of dogs! I calm down when it’s time to relax and I’m the funnest girl when it’s time to play!
I'm totally potty trained and working on crate training. I'll be honest...I'm not a big fan of the crate, but it does help me feel safe when foster mom has to leave for work.
Another thing that makes me feel better is having a fur sibling around. Without one I get a bit timid and anxious. I’m very used to a doggy companion and I’m a different girl when I have a good fur friend, so foster mom says that it’s SUPER important for me to have a doggy sibling in my forever home. I'd really love one that wants to play with me. I am such a great playmate! I go to doggy day camp sometimes and I think it’s amazing. I’m pretty popular.
I haven’t hung out with any small kids, but I’m a nice girl and foster mom says I would be fine. Only thing is that my tail is long and I wag it a lot so sometimes I knock things off low surfaces, like a coffee table. So I might get real excited and slap a kid with my tail. I mean, it’s a tail, not a whip, so I’m not going to HURT anyone…but if your kid is really sensitive, maybe my tail would hurt their feelings?
Speaking of sensitive, foster mom says I am a sensitive girl. She says a home that’s a little bit quiet or calm – versus a home where there’s a lot of noise and tons of stuff going on – would probably be better for me.
I’d really love to meet you and see if we might be best buddies in the making. If you think I could be the girl for you, apply to meet me today at https://bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication
