This handsome fella is Ledoux!  Ledoux is a two year-old, thirty pound, we think Heeler or Cattle Dog mix.  When Ledoux traveled all the way from New Mexico, he was shut down and afraid of pretty much everyone and everything.  In the six weeks he has been with his foster family Ledoux has really blossomed.  He has become a lovey, cuddly and sweet goofball.  He loves his foster fur brothers, loves to go on walks (is doing really well on a leash) and really loves food!  He is still learning to trust new people, so you can't expect to see the "real Ledoux" until he becomes comfortable.  That may take a few days or a few weeks.  He is going to need an active family that is very kind and patient.  IT WILL BE A PROCESS.  His new family needs to be willing to continue his training and he would do best in a home with another stable dog that can help him learn to trust.  Having a stable dog in his foster home has been a game-changer.  Ledoux would be a great hiking, camping or running buddy.  He is house-trained and would do best in a home with older children.  If you think you are the family that can help save this precious soul, please go to  and fill out an application today!
