Sadie is an 8-9 yr old wise and loving golden retriever owner surrender.40lbs. She was given to a friend and the friend was going to try and find her a home but instead got lazy and left her in a back yard with some chickens.
 
As the winter started to bear down on us, Sadie was left outside from day in to the cold night and started losing weight. She was grumpy and neglected. Luckily, she was rescued by a neighbors friend and has been living with a retired couple for the past few months. Shes gained weight and muscle back and her self esteem.
 
Sadie loves hiking and running. She's a bounder and can go pretty strong for about 45 minutes. She loves the snow and tromping around. She also is really good at fetch and will bring the ball back and drop it. She loves walks and has been worked with to not pull on a lead. She knows sit, stay, place, dance, shake, and probably more that haven't been discovered. 
 
She loves chillin' out on the couch or in her place and will be your pal as long as you need her too and I'm sure she would appreciate sleeping under the covers with you. (she loves it)
 
Sadie is good with other dogs and has been to day camp a couple of times. She "gave great signals" and had no incidents. She doesn't like cats. She wants to chase them. And she needs help sometimes with meeting people. I think she just gets protective and is scared right now, but the correction is super simple and she takes to it really fast.
 

I think Sadie would go well with an active person. Someone who goes on hikes or a runner that wants a companion. She's got a lot of fun in her, and shes got a lot of love and is looking for that special someone to give her a forever home.
