Hi! My name is Helo!
I was born a Rescue Rovers puppy and was adopted just over 2 years ago. Things changed for my family recently, though, so I’m a rover once again! 
This time I’m hoping to find a forever family!
I’m a 2 ½ year old Heeler/Vizla mix. I’m perfectly house trained and crate trained and I have basic obedience skills, too (sit, down, wait, come and no!) I’m good with kids, but I prefer them to be a little older (or dog savy) as it makes me nervous when kids climb on me or pull at me or poke me. I really like cuddles, though, and in my foster home I have a 9 year old boy who’s super fun to hang out with.
I’ve lived with dogs my whole life and I’m totally fine with them…but they do intimidate me a little. I’ll keep my distance for a few days before I decide to be friends. I’m just cautious!
I’m a super good dog and I can’t wait to have a home of my own again! Apply to meet me today!

Oh – and here’s a cool story about my name! When I was born my foster mom named me Xavier – after Professor X of the X Men. Cool, right? Then my new family named me Helo after Lt. Agathon from Battlestar Galactica…which is just as cool!!! If you’re a sci-fi nerd like me (or if you’re not, because honestly, I’m a dog. I don’t watch movies or tv. Unless there are dogs barking, which I’m told there are not in those shows.) we could be perfect together!
