Bow Wow! I'm a pup and I've already been on a plane thanks to "Dog is My Co-Pilot" (D-I-M-C-P) Airlines. My name is Zan, and yes, I really am as absolutely adorable as I look in pictures! A Rescue Rover human who knows my foster family joked that I look like an incredibly cute stuffed animal. While it's true that I don't shed very much, and people with allergies really like being around me, I'm no stuffed animal, I'm a love bug of a dog!

My biggest secret is that I wish I was small enough to be a lap baby. I was absolutely shocked to find out that I wasn't a tiny puppy anymore. I'm gradually accepting the fact that I don't fit perfectly into a shoebox and that I have to stay "down" unless I'm invited. I'm absolutely repelled by the SIGHT of a squirt bottle and seeing one of those things is all that is necessary to make me stop whatever I'm doing. I'm highly intelligent and I learn things quickly! I respond best to positive reinforcement like praise and treats. I have learned to sit, walk on a leash, and I'm housebroken. An active person or family would suit me best because I like to play and love to go on long walks where I can see the world!

What you can't see in my pictures is how full of life I am. I'm a 1 year old terrier mix who is super sweet, funny, playful and loving. My foster mom says I'm one of the happiest dogs she's ever met and am one who doesn't bark much. I adore all humans and other dogs and I'm very patient- even with the little ones! I'm also still a puppy and continue to learn manners; I am big enough that if I get excited and stand up I can accidentally push over a tiny person or little dog, so I need my human to remind me to be respectful as I continue to learn. I'm curious about cats and I will give chase, but I respond if someone firmly tells me "no kitty."

More than anything I want someone to call me their dog, love me and pay attention to me! I want to be the exciting addition to your wonderful life and family!
