Gabriel loves people and is very mellow.  He can go hiking all day, but if you just want to stay inside, he will lay at your feet so they stay warm.  If you let him, he will try to be a lap dog and cuddle with you on the couch.  He walks great on a leash and will stay by your side.  He doesn't bark and has never had an accident in the house.  He does not do well with other dogs, so would be best to be the only dog in the house.  Even though he is a large dog, he does not jump on people and does not use his size against people.
