Meet Yvlis! This big fella is an 83-pound, chill, 3 year old soft-coated St. Bernard mixed with who-knows-what. He is so good at “shake” that it’s all he ever wants to do. The second he sees a treat he will hold out his paw to shake your hand. He stays off of furniture (which is good, because this boy would need a whole couch to himself). He walks well on a leash, and is doing pretty well with other basic commands. Ylvis is sad when his humans are disappointed in him, so he works hard to obey. He loves a lot of things that most dogs enjoy: being brushed and petted, sticking his head out the car window, going on walks, smelling new smells, chewing bones, and just lounging around the house. However, he’s not interested in the typical dog pastimes like fetch or tug-of-war.  He only barks if someone is at the door or someone is shooting off fireworks, pretty much only when the humans need to know that something is up. Yvlis has a past with a really bad ear infection and being reactive and sensitive to his ears when they hurt. His ears are doing much better though, and he has eardrops that need to be put in nightly. Yvlis is looking for a family that will love him, enforce boundaries, take him on walks, and understand his body language. He will make an amazing companion.
