Hi future family, my Rescue Rovers name is Alerian, but I go by Ruby with my fosters. I’m a two year old spayed female retriever mix!

I am fully house trained, and am a pro with a doggy door. I haven’t been tested in a crate quite yet as I prefer the company of a human. But I am super smart and always willing to try new things. My foster family is working with me on my name but if you feel I may have a better fit with a different name, I trust you! 

I LOVE all dogs of all shapes, sizes, and gender! Just as much as I love all humans! I do need a slower start to the smaller dogs - I get a little overly excited so sometimes it’s overwhelming for them. I could also benefit from a refresh of my jumping manners, but I’m working on all four on the floor. I am just so deprived of human love that I want it all!! 

Don’t let my age or breed fool you. As much as I love to play, I’m also more than happy just snuggling with my human friends. Daily exercise and new learning opportunities would be most ideal for me since I am still at my younger stage. I love going on hikes! 

My foster family always tells me how I’m the best girl! They describe me as fun, loving, sweet, friendly, silly, and all around a wonderful canine companion! I have so much love to give and I hope to find the perfect family who’s willing to receive that love!
