Hi Everyone, let me introduce myself.  My name is Blade and I am a 4 month old male puppy.  The shelter had me listed as a chihuahua/papillon mix (best guess).  Everyone knows what a chihuahua is but do you know what a papillon is?  Papillon is a "European small breed toy spaniel having large erect heavily fringed ears" and is French for butterfly.  Well fancy that!  I guess my perky little ears look like butterfly wings.  I currently weigh in at about four to five pounds so the puppy calculator says I should be about 10 to 12 pounds when I am full grown.  I am a typical puppy, I love everyone I meet and love to run and play with the other small dogs here in my foster home.  A typical day is eat, play, sleep, eat, play, sleep, eat, play, sleep.  

 

A few things I have learned so far is my crate is a safe place for me.  I eat and sleep in my crate and settle down quickly.  I am a little smarty pants and have learned when foster Mom gets our meals ready I run straight into my crate and wait for my bowl to be served to me.  I am working super hard on learning that going potty is an outside activity.  Foster Mom says I am about 90% potty trained if kept on a schedule.  

 

My ideal home will be with someone who works from home, a stay at home Mom or maybe even a retired couple so I am not alone most of the time and having another small dog that can teach me the ropes and play with me would be a major bonus and of course I want a fenced yard so I can run and play on these beautiful spring days.  Because of my small size older kids (over 8 years) would be the safest home for me.  I am learning all about dog toys, in fact I will play by myself, throwing that pesky lamb in the air and running zoomies around the room.  My lamb is my favorite toy so far!
