Let me introduce myself, I am Duke of the West Desert. Duke for short. I am a one-year-old Chihuahua mix, if you look up the breed Chihuahua, it says small toy breed with a big personality. They might as well have put my picture next to the description. That is me to a tee.

I want to be your best buddy; I would love to follow you around and spend the day as your shadow. I am a great size full grown at just under seven pounds.

The description also says loyal and loving that is true most of the time you see with my big personality I can be a little selective with my toys and bones.  My foster mom has been working on this with me. I am still a toddler learning how to negotiate this big world. I do live in a house with seven other dogs. I also live with a cat who I do not like, so a household without a cat would be best. I am house trained, kennel trained, by far my favorite part of training is anything with my person. I love going for rides, watching a movie or snuggling on your lap or nearby while you read a book is literally my favorite.  A walk on a nice day is great. I like to play ball or chase with my toys I need some work on the retrieve and return part.

I am young and very willing to please I will only get better with age.  Since I have not yet mastered getting along with others 100% I would do best with kids over ten. I also need a house where they will continue working with me when I want to become overly possessive.
