Hi there, I’m Gamble! I’d like to tell you why you should take a chance on me. I’m a 6 year old black lab mix. I’m a neutered boy and I weigh about 55 pounds.
My name comes from the fact that I have knobby, long legs like a gamble oak tree. But also, it comes from the fact that I am a very lucky boy to have landed with Rescue Rovers and am now looking for my forever home.
You see, I must have been through some tough times in the recent past because I am very skinny and need to gain about 15 pounds. My foster mom has been doing a great job with that, and I’m getting all kinds of supplemental nutrition.
Take a spin of the roulette wheel and you will soon find out that you are a winner in choosing me no matter where the ball lands. I am great with other dogs and love to romp and play in the backyard. I am good with cats and just don’t even pay them any attention in my foster home. I am fully kennel and house trained.
My obedience is top notch and you will soon see that I hold a Full House of cards: sit, stay, lie down, come, and wait… I know them all and am a seasoned pro.
You might think, “Why should I adopt an older dog?” Well, the answer is easy: I am simply the best boy. I don’t bark, I love to just hang out, but will gladly go for an easy stroll in the neighborhood. Once I put on some weight and build up my endurance, I’ll be an amazing hiking partner. I still have at least half of my life to live! And I intend to run the table and reap all of the rewards. I’m truly a winning hand.
I’m a gentle boy and would likely do well in a home with kids of all ages. I would love to have as much love as your family has to give me. And I will pay you back with a gentle lean against your legs to ask for more.
