I’m Xolo!

I’m a 9 month old, 33 pound, retriever mix, good boy.

Life is so interesting! I had never lived in a house before I met my foster mom, and now I really, really like being in a home!  My crate is my safe place, and I’ll sleep there through the night! 

I love toys,  pillows, and shoes! I like running as fast as I can to sneak a shoe or slipper away from my human- she says I’m not supposed to do that, though, so I’m trying to change my ways.

Even though I’m learning that life can be fun, I’m still timid and fearful of new places, people and things. I once went on a walk- it was so cool… but usually I think it’s safer to stay in the yard. Please be patient with me as I learn to be a more confident dog. I’ll be so snuggly and silly after I warm up to you. 

I get along with my foster brother (he’s a big retriever!) but I’m still learning how to play.  I would do well in a family with a confident dog who could show me the ropes. 

I’ve never had a potty accident inside the house!

My foster mom says that one day I’ll have my very own family, my very own home where I’ll be loved for the rest of my life… I can’t wait.
