Hound (short coat) : : Male (neutered) : : Adult : : Medium
I know we haven't met yet, but I already love youuu-awoo-wooh! I am a very eligible hound named Jackie Boy aka J.B. The basics: I'm a loyal 2-3 year old male weighing 50lbs with medium energy level.
You should know, I just got out of a long-term stay at the shelter, BUT am already great with house living! I snuggle on the couch with the best of them and only cry a few minutes if you leave. (You humans might call it F.O.M.O.) I am fully crate trained and sleep soundly all night.
Not to brag, but I don't react to the doorbell AND know how to use a doggy door. I'm 95% potty trained - consistency is key for my success. I'm leash trained and picking up well on threshold training. I'm really eager to please and come when called.
I love ALL people and am not remotely afraid of big men. (Large humans just have more love to give!) I also do great with all sorts and sizes of dogs - I'm overall submissive when we play. I could likely live with cats if taught how. I've ignored geese, ducks, and bearded dragons. I don't resource guard at all as I'm not overly food/treat motivated. I'm pretty much a lover boy who enjoys being swaddled in a blanket like a pup-ritto.
My ideal companion would enjoy some exercise or mental stimulation. I don't have to run a marathon - just a daily walk or fun training things! I could easily be a water dog if you like those kinds of adventures.
