Hi there! Are you my new best friend? My name is Glacier Gus, and my favorite way to greet people is to jump into their lap and snuggle up against them. I'm very friendly with both dogs and people, and I get along with almost everybody! I'm a four-month-old Husky/Shih Tzu mix, which means I don't shed, but I love to let you know how I'm feeling with my voice. Currently, I weigh about 17 lbs, but I'm expected to be a medium sized dog by the time I'm an adult.

I'm a very adventurous puppy who loves to have a variety of toys and adventures to keep me busy. I'm working on being more independent when away from my people, so I'd do best in a home where I have an older, confident mentor dog and somebody around for most of the day. I still need training to help build my confidence as I tend to cry when I'm left alone in another room. When my foster mom is working at home, I'm very good at waiting patiently for her to be done. However, after work is over, I'm ready to PLAY. I have a lot of energy for such a little body and need to run around to get it out. I love to wrestle with other dogs, fetch, go on walks, and play tug-of-war.

I love treats and am very food-motivated— you can feed me all kinds of raw fruits and vegetables! Currently, I know how to walk on a leash, sit, lie down, and come when my name is called. I'm working on shaking and being crate-trained during the day. I'm a little stubborn about going into the crate on my own without a treat, but after I settle down, I'm happy to take a nap in there (as long as you’re still in the room with me). I've even learned how to sleep overnight in a crate without crying or needing to go to the bathroom! Potty training is still a work in progress, but I'm getting closer. I do a good job of trying to go on a piddle pad if an accident does happen in the house.

I'm still working on some training, but I'm a very sweet puppy who loves to play, snuggle, and give kisses. Everybody I meet is my new friend, and I can't wait to meet you! If you think I'd fit in as a new member of your family, apply to meet me today at https://bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication
