Autumn greetings! I'm October! I'm a 3 year old male Red Heeler mix with the most beautiful coloring and soft coat! I'm a thicker boy but am working towards a healthy weight in my foster home, I'm close to 60 pounds and coming down! I have a very sweet disposition and am so loving. I don't act like a herding breed, so I will not be nipping your heels and trying to herd you around the kitchen like a cow, and I also like to take naps and relax.

How do I greet other dogs? Instant play bow! Let's GO! My favorite activity of all time is playing with other dogs! I haven't met a dog yet that I didn't get along with (big or small). I do very well with being corrected by dogs and people. I'm pretty good on a leash, I could use some more practice. I'm good at following but can pull a little when I'm fresh and excited.

I love to chase balls and play with toys! I am also very food driven (imagine that) which makes training me very easy. I am doing pretty good with "sit" and "stay". I am fully housebroken, I have never even tried to mark in my foster home. I know how to work the dog door like a champ! My foster mom crates me at night, I love to be with the pack so this isn't my favorite thing. I do protest it vocally for about 5 minutes and then I don't make a peep the rest of the night. I've also never had any accidents in my crate and I do great in the car! No whining, nausea, or accidents.

I haven't met any kids or cats in my foster home but chances are if they are dog savvy then we'll get along just fine. I have exhibited a little resource guarding towards other dogs in my foster home, I'm not out for blood but I do growl when another dog tries to share my bowl with me and sometimes I don't love it when my toy gets taken by them. I do well when my foster mom corrects me over this, it's definitely something I can work through.

I'm looking for a home that will keep up on my exercise and healthy diet, love and play with me, and let me love and adore them back. Is this your home? Apply to meet me today at https://bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication !
