Hello there, my name is Opaline. Foster mom calls me Opal. I am 2 years old and just about 12lbs. I am a chihuahua/poodle/shih tzu mix (best guess) and I am a very sweet girl.

I am a timid little thing at first, but I want to love you so much! I just need to feel safe first. It will take me a little time to feel comfortable with my new family, so you will need to be patient while we bond.
I don't love to be grabbed, and I will shake and cower (just a little) when you reach for me, but I do like to be held. Once we’re besties, I will ask to be picked up and cuddled, and I will be the BEST snuggle buddy you’ve ever had!

If you sit on the ground, I will come right to you. And I love to chill next to you on the couch with a toy. Toys are one of my favorite things. I collect my “babies” and keep them in my bed. I will bring them to you one at a time to show you, I love to share and have you tell me what a good little mama I am.

I haven't lived with kids, but as long as they are dog savvy, I should be good with kids over 8. Loud noises and new things scare me and I will run and hide, so we worry about little ones startling me or leaving the door open.

I love to play with my doggie friends! I will play and play, and do the cutest zoomies around the yard! A playful doggie companion and a securely fenced yard would be my ideal home!

I am wonderful in my crate - it's my safe space and I love to be cozy in there. I haven't had any accidents in the house, but part of that is because foster mom feeds and potties on a schedule. I know to use potty pads if I can’t get outside to go.
