Hello friends, my name is Cheddar and I am an amazingly sweet gentleman who is 6 years young. I weigh about 40lbs and I'm listed as a heeler mix.
You know what 6 years old means - no annoying puppy behaviors, just mellow calm energy all day long! I've lived with kids, cats, and other dogs, and I get along with everyone although I'm somewhat timid, so I'd need to live with kids who don't scare me or pull on me, and other dogs who don't get in my face or act too dominant. When I'm frightened, I'll run and try to hide in the smallest space I can find - my kennel is my favorite, but I'll hide in a closet in a pinch! I like to feel safe. Speaking of which, I feel safest when I'm with you! So if you're looking for a little blonde friend to follow you everywhere, I'm your man! I am crate trained and can sleep through the night in my kennel, or be kenneled when you leave, but I'm really quite well behaved and you can leave me out once we've gotten to know each other. Bonus if I can sleep near you at night! And when you get home after you've been gone, I will show you the cutest full body wiggles you've ever seen.

Even though I have a few years under my belt, there are many things I've never experienced that I'm learning about for the first time, like walks or tricks. I need a family that can be patient with me as I expand my comfort zone and teach me that there are many fun things in life we can experience together.

My foster mom tells me that she has too many pictures of me sleeping, but that's really what I do for a lot of the day! If I can be near my people, I'll just follow you around and nap the day away. Does that sound like something you would like? If so, please apply to meet me at https://bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication
