Pug / Beagle / Mixed (short coat) : : Female (spayed) : : Adult : : Small Learn more about the Pug. Learn more about the Beagle.
Hi! My name is Essie and I am a one year old outgoing and confident girl. We are not really sure what I am but for the sake of having a title lets say I am a pug mix. I am house trained and kennel trained with some treat coaxing and maybe a little push sometimes. I do well in my kennel but I might cry for a minute just to be sure you don’t need me by your side. I sleep all night in my kennel at my foster home because my foster brother would bark all night if I was free to move around. My foster Mom says I am a good girl though and lets me roam the house during the day even if she goes shopping. I do love doggie toys and love to play fetch and tug. I growl a little when playing tug just to pretend I am tough but don’t worry I don’t have a mean bone in my body. I love all people and would love a dog buddy to play with if that is possible. I ride good in the car and do ok on a leash and would love to be your adventure buddy. I have really good recall and although my name Essie was new to me I knew immediately that was me.
Let’s talk about my kitty friends for a minute. I would never hurt them but I really want them to run so I can chase them. So unless the kitty is really brave and my forever family is really patient to help me learn not to chase it would probably best if I had no kitty friends. I am getting better but not there yet.
I need someone who is going to work with me on some boundaries and basic commands as I like to share your space and my doggy friends space sometimes. Again I am doing better but still have a bit to learn. So long story short I need someone who is willing to continue my training so that I can be the super dog I was meant to be. I am very smart and listen well.
If you think you are my perfect forever family go to https://bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication and apply to meet me today!
