Hi!!! My name is Polly! I am a female, 6-7 month old Border Collie and/or (mini?) Aussie mix. I’m currently weighing 23 lbs but have ways to grow; I’ll probably be 30-40 lbs when I’m fully grown. I’m high energy, typical for a herding breed, and love to play, run, and bounce around. I’m super smart and learn quickly, and I need to be mentally stimulated so I’m not bothering everyone wanting to play all the time. I’m very treat motivated so it’s easy to teach me new tricks. I’m already jumping over barriers and running through a tunnel, so my mom thinks I would make a great agility dog. I am working on leash skills and how to nicely greet other dogs and people on the street without getting too excited. I have not met a cat yet, so I’m not sure about those.
I’m good with kids and love to cuddle. Because of my energy level and mouthiness, I would be better with dog-savvy kids. I’m learning my basic commands, sit, down, and come. I am pretty good with house training when I’m let out regularly. I’m crate trained and like to snuggle up with my humans too when I’m worn out. My mom gave me a bath when I arrived, and I was totally fine being handled everywhere even though I wasn’t very fond of the water.
