Hi! My name is Malta and I’m a 65 pound, 11-month old Dutch Shepherd Mix. I should be nearly full grown at this size, just continuing to fill out a bit and build muscle. 
I’m a happy puppy with lots of physical and creative energy, which I’ll use for good and evil if left to my own devices. I’m still learning about the world and somethings frighten me when I first encounter them but I recover quickly.

All in all, I’m pretty bold and I love climbing on things, sticking my head in dark holes, pulling piece of wood out of woodpiles and playing with my squeaky toys. I’m great on a leash which makes me a joy to take on walks. I love people but I’m still a giant puppy and I will jump all over you, so I’d be good in a home with kids 12 and up. I’m adore other dogs but I want to jump all over them too, which might make some dogs mad. I’m crate trained and I’m working hard on potty training.

I’m told that Dutch Shepherds are bred to be high-drive, working dogs with common traits among the breed that can be challenging for regular dog lovers to handle. I’m a great all-around puppy but I’ll need a home that’s familiar with my breed so they know the commitment it takes to developing a Dutch Shepherd puppy into a fantastic adult dog.
