Hi, my name is Opihi (O-pee-hee), just like the Hawaiian shellfish and synonymous with being Velcro-y. I am a 5 year old female Heeler mix and display many of the quirky and wonderful traits common to Heelers.
If you decide to make me part of your pack I will be by your side at all times, when you eat, when you go to the bathroom, when you are trying to work. I will always be there, the best of company!
I may also be highly suspicious of anyone I don’t think should be there. My ancestors were bred to herd cattle by nipping their heels and sometimes I forget you are not a cow and I try to get your attention by nipping your heels or nibbling your big toe. You could say I have a foot fetish. My foster mom is working on teaching me that’s not something most people are into.
Overall, I am kind of a couch potato, very loving, play well with my foster siblings, and enjoy rolling in the dirt. My dream would be to live with a family, maybe with some kids (I like kids), and a yard. But honestly with how much I love the couch I would probably be fine in an apartment, too.
