My name is Ida Mae and I am a 6 month old American English Coonhound. I am true to my breed and my favorite things are exploring with my nose and playing games that involve chase!
I have been doing awesome with my potty and crate training and have been working hard on learning my basic manners with my foster mom. She works at a dog training facility and I get to go to work every day with her to learn my manners and have structured social time with all kinds of other dogs! I'm a smarty pants and quite social. I love training and am very treat motivated! I even learned shake in just one session.
I can be a bit of a jumping jelly bean but also love cuddling with my foster mom and getting loved on. I absolutely love climbing into a lap and burying my face in the fabric of your clothes!
I am looking for a home with kids over 10. I get along good with other dogs and would be fine with (or without) a doggy sibling. I would do best in a home with no cats, because they are just so fun to chase. An owner that will thoroughly research my breed and provide me with an active home would be the greatest!
