Hi! My full name is Opalescent, but people call me Opal. When I was a puppy, I lived in Juarez, Mexico, but I’ve been in Salt Lake City for a couple of months now. I’m almost eight months old, so that’s been a big chunk of my life so far! I love playing with kids and dogs, and I get along well with pretty much everybody so far (though I’ve never met any cats, and I think squirrels are pretty terrible and rude.) Don’t worry; I’ll protect your yard from them! Snuggling is the very best thing ever in life. Except possibly food. And running. And romping with my foster siblings. I like walks too, though they never go fast enough for my taste. My foot got hurt when I was little. You can still see a scar, and every once in a while I limp a little bit, but otherwise you wouldn’t know it to look at me. A few weeks ago I met a BIG dog who really scared me, and when I got these beautiful photos taken, the big world was pretty scary too. My foster mom says I still need to gain some confidence. My foster dad says I need to learn not to pull on walks. I say my foster dad’s a slowpoke. Speaking of training, although I may need a little refresher in my permanent home, I’m almost completely potty trained here. My foster people say that I’m smart and sweet and pretty and a Very Good Dog. I can’t argue with that. If you’d like to meet me, go to rescuerovers.org and apply!
