Hello, future family! My name is Hollyhocks, and I’m a spirited and loving Boxer mix looking for my forever home. If you love the outdoors, hiking, and camping, I’m the perfect companion for you! I thrive in an active environment where I can run and play to my heart’s content.

I have excellent house manners and have undergone training, so I know all my basic commands. My foster mom says I’m such a good girl that I don’t even need a crate! I use a dog door and never have accidents in the house.

I adore being close to my people and love giving hugs. Despite my size, I think I’m a lap dog and enjoy snuggling up with you. My big tongue is perfect for giving you lots of face washes!

I do get a bit anxious and can bark loudly, but with a calm and patient home, I know I can feel secure and happy. I need slow introductions to new people, but once I get to know them, I’m a sweetheart. I haven’t been around cats much, but I do like to chase the neighborhood ones. I used to live with children and did well with them, but I would do best in a home with older kids and less commotion.

I need a fenced yard and plenty of space to run. If you’re home often and can make me feel comfortable, I promise to be the best girl for you. I’m learning that I don’t have to be on alert all the time and can just enjoy being a dog.
