My name is Thunderdog, but they call me Thunder. And Schmunder. And about a zillion other nicknames.  That’s OK, I’ve earned them!

I’m a husky/poodle mix.  A Hoodle?  Huskydoodle?  Whatever.  I love running around, chewing on things, romping with my friends, splashing in kiddie pools, and calm, gentle snuggles. I’m still learning that it’s okay to trust people. Most of the time I do pretty well with it, but I can get yelpy if I get nervous. I’m getting braver all the time.

As I get bigger (and I will get bigger!) I’ll be happiest with regular exercise, routines, and jobs to do. To be part of a dog pack would be a great bonus! Kids are super cool, too. I love kids! I really don’t like being left home alone, or even left on the other side of a closed door.  I will sleep in the crate OK, but it goes a lot better when that crate is in your room.  Once I learn how to dependably go potty outside, my foster mom says I can sleep on the bed! I’m not quite there yet. I do know how to go on the puppy pads . . . most of the time. Sleeping on the bed would be awesome, but as long as I’m in a home with clear rules, a good routine, and a whole lot of physical activity, I think I can adapt to the crate if I need to.  

The other day I got bored and figured out how to jump up onto the table for scraps.  My foster mom says I would greatly benefit from obedience training. If treats are involved, count me in!  She says I’m “treat motivated.”  That’s true.  

Also, I’m VERY ticklish!  My foster mom has counted seven different tickle spots, but there are a few more.  If you promise not to tickle me too often, would you please apply to meet me today?
