Hiya, my name’s Oda! My foster mama calls me Oda Le Yee Hoo, and I was babysat by another foster family who has given me the best nickname ever, Happy Butt! Whenever I’m happy, morning, noon, or night, my whole booty wiggles with my tail. You’ll just melt when you see it!
I’m a 1.5 years old, heeler/lab mix and I weigh about 25 pounds (full grown!) I’m a friendly gal who gets along with people, dogs, and cats. I currently live with two cats and I don’t mind them at all. With my foster mom I’ve been so good. I haven’t met kids (that we know of) but if you ask me, I think I’d probably like them!
I’m quiet as a mouse, but give cute little squeaks when I’m happy being loved by you. And kisses, I give them all the time! If I’m happy, if I’m nervous, if I’m sleepy. I’m not sloppy about it though, so if that’s not your thing I’m positive you’d appreciate my delivery. I am great left out alone and haven’t tried to get into anything. I collect bones as a hobby. I don’t chew on them much, but you might find one or maybe three in your bed from time to time. I’m great on a leash, and I have a bladder of steel. No accidents for this girl!
I’m super mellow but get a little excited on walks, it’s just so fun to get fresh air, I can’t help it! But don’t worry, I keep my excitement in check and am such a good leash walker. I check in with my foster mom all the time when we’re walking, so I really think I’d be awesome off leash with my forever family.
Right now, I’m a little shy, I warm up quick and people don’t scare me, but loud trucks or noises sometimes make me squirm around a little. I’m getting more acclimated, but oh boy do I wiggle if I don’t want to go somewhere. This mostly happens when it’s time to go upstairs.
Stairs used to scare me a lot! I’m living on the third floor right now with my foster mama, and I used to have to be carried up them when my breaks and walks came to an end. My foster mom has been helping with exposure and positive reinforcement, and I’ve gotten WAY better. In fact, recently, after a long day away from my foster home all I wanted was to get inside and I went up them like a champ. So I know I can do it, especially with your support! It's getting to be one of my favorite things ever. And I always stop at the landings and let loose a few good wiggles and give you some kisses to let you know this is getting fun!
