Hi, I’m Tuuka! I’m a special dog looking for a special home. Want to know what’s special about me? Okay, I’ll tell you! Here’s the super great stuff -
1 – based on my size, breed and temperament, it’s been determined that I am a (drumroll please) Border Collie Pyrenees. That’s a designer breed. So, if you adopt me and someone were to say to you “what’s Gucci?” you could totally be like “my dog” and that would be hilarious and true in TWO ways! Hahaha!
2 – I am snuggle goals. You want snuggles? I am the snuggle you are looking for.
3 – I am so good at playing. I play like a pro. I actually would love to play *as* a pro. You know, like dog sports. GRC, agility, that kind of thing. I’m a natural. Or running or hiking or whatever – I will excel at it, I promise. And, with my double coat, I’m gonna be great in all weather! Wet and cold won’t bother me! We can get out and play anytime.
But don’t worry – I’m not crazy high energy or anything, just moderate. You can definitely stay home some days. I also love to play with toys. And after a good walk/run/hike, I'm perfectly content to nap all day.
4 – I am house trained, crate trained, and have very nice leash skills. I am working on my obedience, and I am really good at sitting on command. I would love to learn more! Us Border Collie Pyrenees are smarty pants.
okay, here’s the not as great stuff…
1 – I have a prey drive so no cats for me.
2 – I’m dog selective. I really like some dogs and play well, but other dogs I don’t like. And sometimes even dogs I do like…I just get too hyped up around, so it’s important that the energy be controlled when I am playing. I am going to doggy day camp so I can learn to do better when playing. For now, we think I should be an only dog.
3 – I am a bit much for smaller kids, so if my family has children, they should probably be at least 10 years old.
4 – I really need to go to training. It will help me learn impulse control in addition to commands, and it will help my brain to be active. It will also help me bond to my people, which would be super great.
