Hello, friends and future families! We are so pleased to meet you! We know you’re probably excited to meet us, too. We hear humans really like fluffy things, and we have fluff to spare!
We’re more than just adorable, though! Let us tell you about ourselves.
Our names are Arluk and Nanuk (the boys) and Shila and Sakari (the girls) and we are 10 week old Akita pups.
Our foster mom has done an amazing job of socializing us so far, and now we are looking for families who will continue.

First thing you should know is that Akita can be a tricky breed! We are looking for people with dog experience who are committed to training and socialization. We have already been working with a trainer and everyone is impressed with how smart we are. We have TONS of potential to be amazing doggies with the right guidance, and training will be super important for us.
We will be BIG doggies, the puppy calculator says we could end up around 100lbs – wow! Imagine all the fluff then! Our coats are thick and luxurious, and we will shed out twice a year in handfuls. We will definitely need grooming, especially during those times!
We are athletic, active pups. We are looking for homes with fenced yards and active humans who will take us on lots of adventures.
We would be fine with dog-savvy children over 8.
We are loving, affectionate, stubborn and smart!

Aarluk – I am the biggest and I have the biggest personality to match! I am a quick learner and love to be challenged but if I am left alone too much and get bored I could potentially wreak havoc. I’m becoming a bit of a bully with my siblings, so I may be best as an only dog, but if so I will need a family who is committed to keeping me socialized with other doggos outside the home!
