My name is Rex Allen, and I’m a very good boy! Like my cowboy film star namesake, I am hard-working, strong, and devilishly good-looking. I’m a three years young Heeler mix, but some people say I look more like the exotic Canaan Dog. Either way, being a cowboy would be a dream come true.

While I enjoy pets and snuggles, and hanging out with my annoying canine foster sister, my favorite thing in the world is exploring the world around me. I like to help my foster mom in the garden and to protect the chickens and ducks from predators. I love waking up kids in the morning, walks at least twice a day, and running around the neighborhood with or without my people. My foster mom says I’m a “flight risk,” and I don’t know what those words mean, but she says that when I’m in a home where I have enough stimulation and exercise that I’ll settle down. I’m a dog that needs a job, a big yard with a tall fence, and lots and lots of exercise.
