Hi, my name is Chuck Norris! Cool, right?
I am a 6-year young, 70lb male, Shepherd mix and I have so much to offer my forever family!
Let me tell you about myself. I am very smart and learn quickly. I have had some basic training courses and respond to “look at me” which helps me check in with you when we go outside for walks and hikes.
I like to play fetch but I am still learning to drop the ball. I am great on a leash and love my walks every day, and although I need my leash for hiking, I will never say no. They are THE BEST! I am even rattlesnake certified. I can recognize the smell of rattlers in the wild and will not approach them.
As far as inside goes, I am totally housebroken and kennel trained. I am also well behaved in the house. I am active but I also like to sleep - in my kennel, next to you and lying outside in the warm sun and grass is my favorite. I really love people; I get excited with kisses, and I am working on not jumping up on people but it is because I am happy, never destructive.
Dogs are fun to play with, but I am OK if you just want me. I probably wouldn't be very good with cats, as I have a bit of a prey drive. I am a great hunter - foster mom had some mice in her backyard...but she doesn't anymore! I do get nervous around toddlers, so I would probably do better in a house with older kids.
