My name is Mackenzie, and I’m a 4-5 month old Border Collie boy. Did you know border collies hail from Scottland? Foster mom wanted me to have a Scottish name, so she called me Mackenzie. And she says it with a silly accent. “Mack, of clan Mackenzie!”
She thinks she’s so funny.
So anyway, I’m super handsome. I’m also smart and sweet and I have the softest coat and I’m the best snuggler. More stuff about me…I love to play, both outside and inside. I think doggy toys are THE BEST, especially if they squeak. I’m still just a baby but I show some herding instincts already, so I would LOVE a family who will keep me active and take me to training – bonus points for agility training (I would be so good at it!)
True to my breed, I’m extra smart and ultra trainable – I love both treats and praise so you could teach me to do just about anything! I’m quiet and good in my crate and I’ve only had one potty accident inside…although foster mom is very diligent about making sure I get outside to potty.
My ideal home will have older kids (8+ definitely, 10+ ideally) because that herding instinct is the type that will have me chasing and nipping kiddos. I would LOVE another playful doggy in my home and active people who will get me out to explore and learn in the real world. I’m VERY social with both dogs and people, and I definitely want to keep up on that! My silly antics will keep you smiling and laughing all day, every day, and my snuggles will make your favorite tv shows even better, I just know it!
