Red Heeler / Mixed (medium coat) : : Female (spayed) : : Adult : : Medium
Pawo, pronounced “Pabo,” which in Tibetan means “brave guy who gives his heart”, is a 2 year old red heeler mix who came to foster care from a southern Utah shelter after being abandoned in a yard. Although Pawo was frightened in the shelter, he has come out of his shell and is a happy, confident guy in his foster home. Pawo is playful with his canine foster brothers and sisters, gentle and respectful of his feline brothers and sisters, and loves everyone he meets. He has lots of cute mannerisms to tell you he’s happy, like prancing and making little “Yippee!!” leaps as he brings you his ball. He knows sit and shake, and in one day of practice learned to use a doggie door, lay down, and go potty outside. He has a medium energy level and loves stuffed animals, tennis balls, hugs, belly rubs, and to have you pet his super-soft fur. He’s not too fond of leashes or kennels. He is learning on the leash but hasn’t been kenneled since he has such wonderful house manners. He hasn’t been around any small children but is perfectly comfortable around big ones and has shown no signs of aggression towards two or four-legged friends. This sweet boy is ready to meet his perfect, forever family! More about PawoGood with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids, Good with Adults Video of Pawo:
