Hello World; what’s up? My name is Pono. I’ve been told I am incredibly handsome and sophisticated looking, I have no idea what that means but I think it’s a good thing. 
I am a male shepherd mix about 9 months old. I came to Rescue Rovers several months ago as a little guy with two broken legs. Check out my baby picture - I was sooooo cute! Anyway, my back leg healed great but the front one never did and the doc recently decided I would do better without it. It slowed me down (for about two days, haha) but now I hardly notice. I may never be able to hike 10 miles but I love walks in the neighborhood, short hikes and playing at the park.
My foster mom says I sometimes act like a teenager; I talk back, only listen when I want, sleep hard and secretly like cuddles. I really like to wrestle with all dogs, especially puppies. I do need a good introduction to dogs, sometimes I just can’t decide if I like them at first. Same with people. I adore most of them but I like them much better if I can meet and get to know them slowly. 
I am kennel trained, I will relax and sleep in the kennel like a champ. I am mostly housetrained but do still have the occasional accident in the house.
My perfect home would have a strong leader to teach me boundaries and a consistent schedule so I know what to expect and remember to potty outside.
