Hi there! My name is Penske and I'm a male Shepard/ blue heeler mix who's about 1 year old. Some info about me: My mom thinks I've had a tough past before she adopted me. When I was a wee pup I broke my left hip and leg somehow. I've healed up and have no problems physically since, but emotionally sometimes I have a hard time meeting new people.
I LOVE meeting new people with dogs, but solo people I'm unsure of. I'm pretty shy and sometimes can be anxious, however that will all change if there's another doggie around. I can be snappy around new people but calm down very quickly.
I LOVE playing with other dogs!! I'm looking for a family that has another dog I can love and grow with. I LOVE going on long walks and hikes! Being outside is key for me.

I'm okay with kids, I haven't had much exposure to small children, but a mature older kid I think I'd do well with. I'm a total snug bug and LOVE my people. Belly rubs and kisses are my favorite. I'm well trained and know my sit, down, stay, wait, and come command. I'm also learning my leave it and drop it command. I'm still figuring out this silly game called fetch, but since I love to run around I think I'll learn it real quick. I am crate trained and can be in my crate for hours at a time. I sleep in my crate at night and have become way more comfortable with it. I know it's a safe space I love to take naps in. Overall the key points for me:

-I'm a pretty shy dude who can snap at new people. Overall I like to protect my people and myself. 

-I'm well trained and am a super smart boy!

-I'm crate trained and house trained (I haven't had an accident in months!)

-I love other dogs and am looking for a family with another dog who can help me get more comfortable with new people. I'd do best with an older mature kid in the family, not sure about small kids. 

-I love to be outside! I'm an incredible hiking buddy!

-I'm a total snug bug who loves giving kisses:)
