Alana is a 48 lb lab mix from a shelter in New Mexico. She was transported here to a foster with her 7 puppies just in the nick of time. Her puppies have all been adopted and now it's time to focus on Alana and finding her a great adopter. She has been treated for heart worm and is now on a monthly dose of meds to get her cleared and healthy. She has finally gotten her weight back where it should be and will be re-evaluated in October to see if she's ready to be spayed. She is a unique little momma that has the most endearing noises she makes when she wants your attention. She has a raspy little bark that is on the quieter side and has done well with other dogs and even has accepted an older cat as part of her pack. She is so anxious to please and is very submissive to her humans. She still has some puppy like qualities that are so cute! She was so good during the firework displays this year! She kept her cool and was the calm one in all the chaos. She's going to be a hard one to let go but she will be such a great addition to the one that gives her that "Happily Ever After" ending to her rescue. Such a deserving little girl!
