Hi, I’m Bubbers! I never really learned how to be a dog in my previous life, but now that I’ve been rescued I am LOVING it! I get to go on walks and am told I’m the best at loose-leash walking. With my age (I think you’d say 9 human years?) I’m not interested in high energy adventures. A short daily walk followed by lots of lounging is more my speed. Have you heard of treats? There are so many different kinds! I wasn’t taught tricks in my youth, but if you give me a treat I am very motivated. I have been around big dogs, little dogs, big people, and tiny humans and they are all cool with my gentle, easy-going personality. Anyone who gives me head scratchies is my favorite. I’m used to being outside and won’t try to dig, run away, or disturb your neighbors. I am learning how comfortable it is INSIDE a home, too. I love wide open spaces--crates and car rides make me feel claustrophobic--but don’t worry, I’m a perfectly good boy when left alone. I only potty outside and won’t chew up your stuff, although if you leave food out on the counter it’s fair game! Humans say I am a lab mix with maybe some Akita for my one pointy ear and fluffy tail. Will you help me keep learning the joys of being a loved member of the family? I’d be so grateful!
