My name is Paquita, and I am looking for my forever family!

My foster people love me and treat me very nicely, feed me good food, snuggle with me when I’m in the mood, etc. But I have heard them whisper that I am not very attractive. I never let this bother me. An obsession with beauty is a human thing, not a dog thing. And anyway, my people weren’t very smart. They thought I was just a weird looking Chihuahua. But I don’t think that’s what I am at all. I am pretty sure I’m a Portugese Podengo (small).

“The Portuguese Podengo Pequeno is characterized by a wedge shaped head, with erect ears and a curved tail.” Sounds like me.

“Podengo Pequeno are small, friendly, hardy, lively and intelligent companions. They are very active and usually good with children and other animals when socialized from an early age. They enjoy time with their human family.” Again, sounds like me.

And we’re, like, ancient. We date back to the 5th century. Multi-sensory (sign and scent) hound-type. Pretty freaking special, if I do say so myself. So no, I don’t care that my people don’t think I’m pretty. And even if I did, my new pics are incredible.
