Hey guys! My name is Taika and I am a handsome and oh so sweet German Shepherd/Boxer mix. I am not exactly sure but I think that I am 1.5 years old. So even though I am still playful and curious I also am ready to learn new commands and have new adventures with my future family. I have already learned how to sit, shake a paw and lay on the ground. Still working on the healing thing but with some consistency I will get the hang of it because my foster parents take me for walks regularly. I love to go to the dog parks and be off leash, roaming around smelling everything.  I sometimes take my time smelling the roses but always find my foster parents again when they call for me. Try as you may, you won’t be able to stop touching my soft noggin’ and cute floppy ears. I looooove to be pet and cuddled by humans of any age and will make a great companion dog for an active family/couple.  Why? Because I love people that’s why! All of them! I also love being social with other dogs…especially the itty bitty ones for some reason.  My foster parents have never seen me lash out at another dog, I am pretty chill that way. But cats are a different story, …can you blame me? I’m a dog! I am pretty fearless and love trying new things. I just barely tried swimming the other day and had a blast. Also, did I mention I am potty and crate trained? I have been neutered and still have the urge to mark every so often but it’s been a loooong time since I have had an accident in the house and would like to keep it that way ‘cause I am a big boy now. My previous owners abandoned me and so I was alone in the “hood” for a while fending for myself, but I would rather be in a home where I belong. I am an indoor/outdoor dog that will need regular activity and lots of love.
