Paura is a 5 year old red healer mix who loves long hikes, running through water and cuddling up next to the fire. She’s a herding breed and likes to make sure the entire group makes it home safely, even her human herd. She’s wonderful with big dogs but does not do well around small animals or cats. She hasn’t been around young kids, due to this we will require older kids in the home. Paura gives the best kisses but is very shy and doesn’t like it when someone tries to kiss her.  She’s a girl boss. She gets nervous in new environments initially but adjusts well with consistent human love.

She is happiest with big canine friends after she gets to know them. Initially she is apprehensive with other dogs until she feels safe. Paura is sociable but also enjoys her alone time. She does well on a leash and off leash and knows basic commands. She needs a secure perimeter as she can be an expert at escaping a yard until she’s comfortable.  She Is house trained and knows how to use a doggy door.
