Are you looking for a foxy guy to make your home complete? If you are, take a look at me! I’m GAREN and I’m gorgeous! Ginger fur, ginger eyes, and a full flowing tail that waves in the breeze like a supermodel’s locks!

I’m a 3 year old male Aussie mix and I’m looking for my forever home. At my previous home, I wasn’t socialized enough to new people or other dogs, so when I get scared, I let you know. It takes me some time to learn to trust others, but my foster mom is helping me work on that. Once I trust you, I’m by your side, waiting for affection. l will also be protective of you around new people, which may sound nice, but is really a sign of my insecurity. We're working on it in my foster home, but I will need an adopter who will continue to help me understand that new humans are not a threat to me and teach me to be more social and friendly.

I know basic commands and LOVE going on walks. I have a moderate energy level and walking me regularly will help keep me from engaging in unwanted behaviors.  I am crate trained and potty trained. I like other dogs, but it may take me some time before I warm up to them. I’m working on learning how to properly introduce myself and socialize with other dogs in day camp. I haven’t been around any cats while in foster care.

I’m looking for a special, patient person or family to spend time training me, taking me to classes and building my confidence. I need a confident and dedicated owner, as I can be stubborn at times. A commitment to training classes will be a requirement for my adoption, as my training is very important to helping me become the best dog I can be. I want to make sure my next home is my forever home.

Are you the one? If you’d like to meet me and find out, apply at  rescuerovers.org !
